Engadin
Impressions

Welcome :)

For some years, I've had this dream for my first exhibition in the Engadin. Unsure of the specifics, I kept shooting, feeling increasingly connected to the idea. In November of 2023, the time felt right, and I reached out to Leica Madrid, who supported the project with a Leica Q3. With the Leica Q3, I captured new images and included a selection of meaningful older ones.

I am pleased to present 'Engadin Impressions,' a carefully curated collection of images available as limited edition Fine Art Prints. Each print is produced with highest quality materials, framed in sleek aluminum frames, and offered as part of an exclusive, limited run. Additionally, every print is numbered, signed, and accompanied by a certificate of authenticity.

Recognizing the value of making art accessible to all, I've added a more affordable alternative to the Fine Art Prints named 'Postkarten aus dem Engadin.' This decision stems from a desire to offer art that's not only premium but also attainable, broadening the spectrum of collecting possibilities for enthusiasts and newcomers alike.

Whether through a framed print or a handwritten postcard, 'Engadin Impressions' aims to bring the feeling of the Engadin into your home or to the home of your loved ones.To complement this visual journey, I chose to share the thoughts behind the 'Postkarten aus dem Engadin' format, as it's connected to a dear friend from the valley.

Maybe some of these words resonate with you, maybe you enjoy the images, or maybe it is the thought of the place that evokes a special feeling inside of you. Whatever draws you in — I hope this inspires you to explore further into it, to share your own stories, and be conscious of the new memories you create.

This is not just meant as an introduction; rather, as an invitation to journey with me, to see the world through a different lens, and to find your own piece of wonder in it.

"Engadin Impressions" Catalogue

27 Images are not enough to visualize the feeling I connect to this place. This is meant as a continuous series, growing into a more and more complete collection.

"Postkarten aus dem Engadin"
For you, to participate :)

When was the last time you received a postcard, and who sent it to you?

For me, it was from Luca, a dear friend from Celerina, and it arrived in Madrid not too long ago.

After high school, our paths diverged — I headed to Madrid, and he set off to explore the globe, sending postcards along the way.

These postcards, arriving days or months later, have woven a tapestry of our ongoing friendship and his adventures over the past six years.

It’s a tradition that has brought immense joy, each postcard a window into Luca’s journey, some crammed with tiny letters, others just a few words.

This joy of choosing a postcard,

writing a message,

and sending it off

— contrasted with the immediacy of digital messages —

inspired 'Postkarten aus dem Engadin.'

It’s a gesture of appreciation for Luca’s thoughtfulness and an invitation for others to reconnect with the tangible delight of mail.

I've included these works, that capture the feeling of this beautiful place, as postcard designs, hoping they inspire you to share this joy by sending a piece of it to someone special.

Each postcard comes with a stamp, to make the process for you more comfortable.

So, consider sending a postcard yourself :)

In a world bustling with instant communication, this thoughtful act can offer a special joy and anticipation.
